Christmas markets 2017

Latest news, EventsAnne Kelsall

Whilst it may seem like a long way off the slow shortening of the daylight hours means that winter will soon be with us.

Our preparations for the Christmas markets that take place in Manchester each year are well under way, and to me at least, it seems that there is only a short time till the start of the market for 2017.

This years market takes place from the 10th of November to the 20th December 2017, you can find the dbs stall at Exchange Street, opposite the Royal Exchange. We do hope you can visit us this year.

Colour palettes

On recent travels I've been inspired by colours that seem so integral in everyday life. I love the contrasting colours and boldness of their use.

These wonderful colours have worked their way into the dbs range, with bright oranges, electric blues, and deep purples to name a few. I've always loved colour and pattern and it can’t help but filter through to the collection. Every bag in the original dbs range also feature bold printed cotton linings to make them beautiful on the inside as well.

I hope this injection of colour brightens up your day and makes you feel cheerful!

Photoshoot on the underpass

Inspired by the brightly coloured graffiti on a underpass I decided to use it as the backdrop for a new collection of bags that have been made in collaboration with other leather workers.

Some may consider graffiti a form of vandalism but to me each individual artwork is a rainbow of colour and brighten up what would have been a very dull walkway.

I'm very excited about the new range and I think it works well alongside the original dbs bags. Listening to customers requests for zips there are plenty in this new collection. We also have some new gorgeous leather backpacks.

It's been great to diversify the range of our collection and I hope to extend it in the future. Its certainly got the creative juices flowing!
